Samsung has launched yet another smartphone with its smartness beyond comparison to any other existing smartphones available in the market. If Galaxy K Zoom is a camera or a smartphone or a subtle blend of both, it is up to you to decide. Whenever I took my K Zoom with me I had all the eyes turned to me. Let us figure out what makes it a unique piece of art and technology.

Design

The front profile of the phone has not been designed differently than any other Samsung’s mid-range smartphone. A home button, an acceptable display screen size, a little of bezel and two touch buttons on either side of Home button completes the front of the phone.

The back profile is pretty amazing, once you turn on the camera to take pictures, you will realize that the lens comes out of the considerably huge camera. We agreed upon the heaviness of K Zoom, its widest part is 20.2 mmm thick when the lens is retracted and thinnest being 16.6m. A considerable amount of thought has been put to give the device a nice curve so that it is good to hold.

The device is heavy when compared to its predecessors being weighed at 200g while Samsung Galaxy S5 is 55g lighter. But it is weighed enough to carry it easily and will make you realize its presence in your pocket.

Screen

The display is 4.8 inch and the screen resolution is 720×1280 pixels, thus making any video a feast to the eye. The display is well protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 giving a longevity and security to the screen.

Camera

This is the section to be described in a bit detail as the camera feature gets this phone into limelight. The excellent photographs are a result of 20.7 megapixel CMOS sensor which highly efficiently deals with low light.

The 10x optical will give you a reason to stand really far from and get the whole scenic beauty captured though your lens. The zooming might reduce the clarity a bit, but adjusting according to the scene will get you back on track.

For photography enthusiasts, the aperture stands at f/3.1-f/6.3 which is adequate for an average point and shoot photography needs.

The Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is introduced to reduce the motion blur effects, but this works perfectly only when the camera is not fully zoomed. Going into the settings of camera will lead you to manual mode; here you can change the shutter speed and aperture size and fine tune your image accordingly.

The front camera is 2 megapixels in order to make your selfies better and a good quality video chat output. The zooming capabilities of camera can be handled by volume rocker or simply pinching in and out the screen. – See more at: http://www.techquark.com/2014/08/samsung-galaxy-k-zoom-features-review.html#sthash.Z1zsYCBK.dpuf
